October is walking weather. We appreciate that no jackets are required because the sun hasn't completely abandoned us just yet, at least not in central Pennsylvania.
And on these walks, Sophia has never been known to pass up a good story. She trips more often than not because sidewalks are boring. Straight ahead is boring. Instead, she scans left, right, up, and over.
Today, it's a tree. We try to decipher the letters and then wonder why they're scratched out. Did someone love and then stop loving? Was someone indignant for the tree and tried to wipe the mess of it out? We started wondering, is it ever right to leave your initials in another living thing? Or is some love just that big?
